Santaquin
The Oaks is Santaquin's own: the Pole Canyon studio at 275 W Saddlebrook Drive in the Foothill Village neighborhood near Orchard Hills Elementary, and the Apple Valley studio across town. Santaquin sits squarely on I-15 at the Utah–Juab county line and is the fastest-growing of our fifteen towns — 18,989 people in 2025, up 38.4% since 2020 — and 38% of them are under 18, which is why we run 35 classes a week (Census QuickFacts, Census Reporter).
02Payson
Payson families reach our Pole Canyon studio in about 14 minutes by I-15 or SR-198, and we already know the drive the other way — the Christmas Show has been staged at Payson Jr. High
03Salem
Three members of our faculty — Oakley, Tymbre Palfreyman, and Nicole Stone — danced on the Salem Hills High School Dance Company, and Oakley was Salem Hills' Dance Sterling Scholar in 2019 (instructors). Salem is about 21 minutes from our Pole Canyon studio down SR-198, and it is the fastest-growing mid-size city in Utah in 2025 at 9.1%, with 12,234 residents and 36% under 18 (Deseret News, QuickFacts).
04Spring Lake
Spring Lake is our closest neighbor outside Santaquin — about ten minutes up SR-198 — and Utah County's newest town, incorporated after a 172–83 vote in November 2024 so the community could stop being squeezed by annexation (Herald Extra). It is farms, horses, and five-acre lots around the spring-fed lake that gives the town its name, and the birthplace and burial place of the Ute leader Antonga Black Hawk (Wikipedia).
05Elk Ridge
Elk Ridge sits at 5,361 feet at the foot of Mount Loafer, a city of 4,687 where 39% of residents are under 18 — one of the highest shares among our fifteen towns — and where there are no schools inside the city limits, so families already drive for everything (Wikipedia, Census Reporter). Elk Ridge sits directly south of Salem and shares its bench with Woodland Hills next door; our Pole Canyon studio is about 26 minutes away
06Woodland Hills
Woodland Hills is the highest of our towns at 5,699 feet, a bench community of about 1,500 above Salem where the median age is 41 and the view runs the length of Utah Valley (Wikipedia, Census Reporter). The drive to our Pole Canyon studio is about 29 minutes; Woodland Hills Days runs the second weekend of September (2026: September 11–12) (city).
07Genola
Genola shares Santaquin's ZIP code and is the youngest town we serve — median age 24.9, 4.2 people per household, 100% rural by the Census — a farming town of about 1,500 in the northeast corner of the Goshen Valley (Census Reporter, Wikipedia). Our Pole Canyon studio is about seven miles east; the Genola Days Rodeo in June is one of Utah County's favorite summer traditions (Rodeo Ticket).
08Goshen
Goshen is a town of under a thousand in the center of the Goshen Valley, settled in 1857 and named for Goshen, Connecticut, and now better known as the home of the LDS Motion Picture Studios' Jerusalem set used for *The Chosen* (Wikipedia). The town sits at 4,557 feet with 978 people at the 2020 Census, and in 2011 the church's LDS Motion Picture Studios opened its south campus on farm property here, building a film set that replicates biblical Jerusalem
09Elberta
Elberta is the smallest place we serve — 180 people at the 2020 Census, at the junction of US-6 and SR-68 on the west side of the Goshen Valley, named in 1907 for the Elberta peach and surrounded today by church farmland and the film-studio Jerusalem set (Wikipedia). The nearest services are in Santaquin, and so is the nearest dance studio: our Pole Canyon studio is about 19 minutes east.
10Benjamin
Benjamin is farmland between Payson, Salem, and Utah Lake, settled in the early 1860s as an agricultural outgrowth of Payson and named for presiding elder Benjamin F. Stewart; about 1,200 people live there, under a Spanish Fork ZIP code (Wikipedia, Online Utah)
11West Mountain
West Mountain is the community of about 1,250 at the base of the mountain of the same name on Utah Lake's south shore, where the peak divides Goshen Bay from Lincoln Beach and carries BYU's observatory (Wikipedia). The community sits at 4,547 feet at the base of West Mountain, which carries the West Mountain Observatory, and counted 1,250 people at the 2020 Census
12Birdseye
Birdseye is the unincorporated community on US-89 at the confluence of Bennie and Thistle creeks, on the back side of the Wasatch southeast of Loafer Mountain, settled in 1885 and named for the birdseye marble quarried nearby; it sits five miles south of Thistle, the town the 1983 landslide erased (Wikipedia, Thistle). It is our farthest town — about 49 minutes to Pole Canyon by US-89 and US-6 — so this page is honest about what fits.
13Rocky Ridge
Rocky Ridge is the Juab County town on the hill just south of Santaquin, incorporated in 1998 on the site of York, the 1870s railhead of the Utah Southern Railroad (Wikipedia). It is one of the youngest communities in Utah — median age 16.5 and 6.5 people per household (Census Reporter) — and about 10 minutes from our Pole Canyon studio through Santaquin's I-15 exit 242.
14Mona
Mona is the closest town to Mount Nebo, the highest peak in the Wasatch at 11,933 feet, and the home of the Young Living Lavender Farm whose fields bloom from late June into July (Mount Nebo, Mona). About 1,700 people live here — 1,674 in the 2024 ACS, median age 34.7 (Census Reporter)
15Nephi
Nephi is the Juab County seat, a city of 7,488 at the southern end of the Nebo Loop whose Main Street holds a cluster of National Register buildings and whose Ute Stampede has run every July since 1935 (QuickFacts, Ute Stampede). Our Pole Canyon studio is about 23 minutes north on I-15 — and the Stampede's two parades explicitly welcome drill teams and dancers (parade info).
